Mimi Kelech is Nigerian and born again Christian
Mimi Kelech was born Mirian Chukwukere in Imo State, where she started her musical journey. She started singing at the age of six and began composing songs at ten. By this time she was already in the choir. It was at the choir that
she further developed her talents to such greater level that individuals and churches started inviting her to perform in their events. She soon relocated to Lagos with her parents. There in Lagos she continued her singing and soon
she become a regular feature in church programs and gospel events in the state as she was back home.
Explaining her affinity for music in an interview, she said “I inherited the spirit of music from my father because he’s a lover of music. Right from my childhood I have loved music and always have this beautiful dream to become
a musician someday” Her dream h is coming true, as Mimi Kelech is gaining more and more grounds.
